Dentures that are anchored with dental implants can be either fixed or removable.
Implant secured dentures are comfortable to wear and offer patients beautiful, natural-looking teeth. At Robinson and Malone, we make sure that our individually crafted dentures provide our patients with a reason to smile again.
These types of dentures allow for a smaller and more comfortable base and less shifting of the prosthesis during use. Using dental implants can also help alleviate the sunken look that can occur with bone loss in the jaw by stimulating bone growth in the area around the implant and preventing future bone loss. For qualifying patients, our experienced doctors may be able to complete the removal of all teeth and the placement of a temporary arch on the same day.
Implant Retained Dentures
An implant retained denture requires placing four to six dental implants as “anchors” to provide a sturdier fit and minimal mobility for your denture. No adhesives or pastes are needed to secure your new denture, so you can eat and speak comfortably and confidently. Easy to care for, this solution can simulate the look and feel of natural teeth and stay fixed in place with the implants acting as anchors. Patients will not experience the typical rocking and movement or gum irritation traditionally associated with dentures.
Implant Supported Dentures
Available for full or partial dentures, implant supported dentures require the placement of two or more dental implants to secure the dentures in the mouth. With implant supported dentures, no plate covers the roof of the mouth, so speaking and eating are more natural and comfortable than traditional dentures. If a removable denture is selected, the denture will “snap” onto the implant and can be removed for cleaning at night.
